THE TIME HAS COME (The Walrus said) TO TALK OF MANY THINGS.
Posted by MasterAardvark Nov. 25, 2009 @ 8:09 AM ESTMany things to talk about this fine Eastern-Daylight-Time evening.
1: I've finally decided to enter the Pigpen in Tropfest 2010, which means unfortunately it will NOT be submitted to newgrounds until after the festival in February. I need the time to do more on it anyway, because to get it in on time for school assessment I had to skip a lot of scenes I had planned, one in particular being the coolest part of the whole idea.
2: Christmas flash in the works! And by 'the works', I mean I started it today.
3: There have been these banner ads around newgrounds recently for 2 online games- one called 'Rose Online', and another called 'Requiem'. The banner ads for both of these are practically the same, except where Rose says "FREE ANIME MMO", Requiem says "FREE HORROR MMO".
If you have either of these banner ads at the top of a page while watching a flash movie, I have found you will actually have to scroll down so the ad is off the page, or the frame rate of your flash will drop to probably 1 or 2 frames per second. If you sit there and scroll your page up and down, you can make your animation go FAST slow FAST slow FAST slow.
4. I just realised right now that I have 4 recently-made scars up my left upper-arm, and I have no idea how they got there.
5. I threw together a madness flash for no reason, and I may or may not hang onto it until September-the-whateverdaymadnessdayis. It's a little too short and crappy to submit any other time of the year. I really just made it because I fell in love with 'Madness: Dick Brawl' by Nogfish and Fawx (for big grown-ups only). It's evident the boys had a lot of fun using their own animation techniques on simplistic madness-guys, and I wanted to do it too. So I did. And that is the story of thisismadness.swf.
6. I'm bored, so ask me random questions about crap and I will answer them (possibly even correctly).
Edit: I think Tom's fixed the banner ad problem, because after he commented on this post, the problem stopped. Thanks again, Lord Fulp!
